Fountain of Neptune, Piazza del Nettuno, Bologna, Italy

If you visit Bologna, Italy (and you should!), you'll likely want to see the Fountain of Neptune. Sculpted by the Renaissance master Giambologna, it is a major attraction in the city.

The four sides of the base are inscribed with Fori Ornamento, Aere Publico, Populi Commodo, and MDLXIIII.

But, what I like best about this sculpture is that it provides a meeting place for people in Bologna.
