That bird in Costa Rica

When we were in Costa Rica we stayed in Playa Grande. The small eco-inn where we stayed had a great little restaurant. One day we were sitting at the restaurant enjoying a cocktail when a bird landed on the ledge next to us. I had my camera with me so I snapped his picture. Then another and he took off. I captured him as he flew away and just loved the picture. So much in fact that when I was getting ready to put out my new book, I knew I had to use that picture on the cover.
