Honolulu Museum of Art

The Honolulu Museum of Art is right in the middle of the city on Ward Ave.
The museum has a collection of over 50,000 pieces in their permanent collection dating back 5,000 years.
I was especially impressed with the Buddhism collection and the masks from Indonesia, but there are lots of galleries on site with incredible pieces of artwork.
The museum is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10-4:30, closed on Mondays, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for Hawaii residents. On the first Wednesday and third Sunday of each month admission is free
