George Square, Glasgow, Scotland
In September, 2017 we took a planned trip to France. We had a great time in Bordeaux (yeah, wine), Avignon and nearby Chateau de Pape (yeah, more wine) and Lyon (yeah, food and wine). But, after a couple weeks, we tossed our itinerary and headed for the U.K.
Neither Karen nor I had ever been to Scotland and we thought this would be as good a time as any. We were both glad we did. Scotland, while not the foodie paradise that is France, had lots of fantastic food joints featuring ethnic cuisine from south Asia, and, surprisingly, Italy.
George Square is in the middle of the old town and lots of tourists gather here because it's where the tour buses start and stop their routes. We were walking around and I was taking a few pictures when this giant flock of pigeons (there are about 20 statues in the square, thus pigeons) took off en masse. The pictures are nothing extraordinary, but I thought they were kinda fun and interesting in a Hitchcockian sorta way.
