Ljubljana Central Market

Ljubljana Central Market
Along the Ljubljanica River and between the city's two iconic bridges, the Dragon Bridge and The Triple Bridge, is the Ljubljana Central Market. The market was designed by Slovenia's most famous architect, Jože Plečnik, who also designed several buildings in Prague. Plečnik's home is a museum you can visit, as well.

The Ljubljana Central Market is actually three markets. A fish market, a flower market and a produce market. One of the highlights, besides all the samples at various booths, is the honey vendors. Honey is a big deal in Slovenia, and for good reason, it is amazing! So many different varieties from all over the country.

If you want to go, the market is open everyday except Sundays and holidays.
