Footbridge of the Palace of Justice, Lyon, France |
The Footbridge of the Palace of Justice crosses the Saône and is my favorite kind of bridge, pedestrian only. There's several pedestrian only bridges in Lyon and they are all well-used by the citizens of the city. What makes this bridge particularly interesting is the single mast (that giant rust-colored structure in the pictures) is the only support for the bridge.

Tomorrow, I'll post Part 2 of the Bridges of Lyon. There, I'll consider the destruction of almost all the bridges in the city during WWII.
