Austin to Fort Lauderdale. Fort Lauderdale to London. London to Bordeaux, France. We're finally here, but we're beat. We don't dare go to sleep, afraid that an early bedtime will mean we're up at 3am. So, we head out and stumble upon this little gem of a wine bar, Vins Urbains.

Lots of folks are enjoying a glass at the bar, but we're hungry, so we're steered to a table. I'm excited to see truffles on the menu, so we order crostini with Perigord (black) truffle and mushroom puree which came with some other spreads, like white bean and rosemary, for our toast. 

The wine selection is superb with hundreds of selections stored in what must be a huge wine cellar downstairs. They also have over a dozen wines by the glass.

We were so tired, we couldn't rush if we tried, but even with a packed itinerary, make time to linger here, the staff will make time for you and they gave us excellent recommendations for pairing wines with our food.
